課程綱要：
This course is designed to strengthen students' ability to use English in a range of everyday situations. The skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening are taught and practiced concurrently, around a range of themes relevant to students' daily lives. In addition to developing linguistic knowledge and skills, students are encouraged to learn more about other cultures and customs, and to consider the linguistic skills and communication strategies that might be necessary to communicate with English speakers from these cultures. It is hoped that this course will strengthen students' confidence and motivation to learn English, and help them to develop the autonomous learning skills required to continue learning outside of the classroom.
